Prayer Journey on snowy day 15th December 2011

We were surprised and happy to see so much snow on last Thursday morning and D. and me enjoyed walk in the snow in Meersbrook Park - such a wonderful and shiny day :)

And coming back home I felt so free and ready to draw, paint prayers and re-discovered my pastels that I brought back with me from Canada 8 years ago....

Here is the prayer journey in drawings:

Prayer journey - Go and trust

Prayer journey today....

prayer journey after evening that was quite difficult, emotional storms, flying chair and nearly broken glass on the door and TV just missed by the flying chair, as our daugher was unhappy about things... tensions growing and exploding and then finally time of peace and love and reconciliation... and then me being busy, late evening trying to catch up on  my work and feeling like I was not managing much... my head was spinning around and everything just felt too much... read on Facebook post of another Mum struggling with her child with AS having difficult evening and felt I could not find words of encouragment I would love to send her... I God stopped me - suddently I saw A3 sketch book under the pile of books and found oil pastels and started to draw prayers... prayers for that Mum and her son, for our family, for all the people I know are struggling and looking for hope... I did not have words of prayer, but I just opened my heart and opened myself to drawing... and drawings just kept flowing... and the last drawing on that journey last night came with words GO AND TRUST.... I would love to share this and this is my prayer for you all - that you may go and trust - trust in God who is so much greater than our human thoughs, expectations, human fears, trust in God, in His love and wisdom.... May God bless you and guide you and may your hearts rest in His loving arms!

Quiet Day in preparation for licensing as Worship Leader

Last weekend I really enjoyed quiet day for people preparing to be commissioned as lay ministers at our diocese... Such a blessing to be able to spend time praying, reflecting, being quiet, and draw prayers... really excellent and inspiring input - gentle guidance... and words coming back to me are again - as in my W4T project - Be Still and Know I am God.... I was praying to grow deeper in relationship with God, to be nurtured by Him and to be able to go out in His strength and wisdom...

15 years today

Today it has been 15 years since I came to the UK for the first time - to live and work in l'Arche Lambeth in London... So much has happened since that, but talking today with our vicar Murray, discussing my Ministry Agreement upon completing Worship 4 Today training, I was reminded about how important for me this journey and God's call in my life has been... as I wrote already here at http://exploring-creative-worship.blogspot.com/2011/06/prayer-and-thanksgiving-for-blessing-of.html
